EXPERIENCE
Modafferi Construction, Inc. was established in 1978 by Peter F. Modafferi, President, in Boulder County, Colorado. Over the years, we have developed a solid reputation for excellent workmanship, completed on time and within budget. Modafferi Construction has designed and built 692 projects, over half of which have been additions. We enjoy the challenge of obtaining materials to match product styles found in older homes. Over the years, we have completed many remodeling projects and we have designed and built custom homes.
Peter Modafferi, Modafferi Construction, Inc. President, holds a General Contractor’s license and is a full service General Contractor, and is fully insured.
QUALITY
We have been entrusted with historical renovations, including the Highlands Lake Church in Mead, Colorado, and many historical homes. Many of our clients are repeat customers. Peter pays attention to every detail of the project.
INTEGRITY
All construction is done by Modafferi Construction, Inc. All of the carpentry work is done by Modafferi Construction employees. Other phases of the work are subcontracted to licensed subcontractors, some of whom have worked with Modafferi Construction since the founding of the company. We are cost conscious, and will offer you alternatives, if it becomes necessary, to stay within budget.
What You Can Expect
The Process
Meeting. Meeting with you at your project site to discuss your ideas and look at the existing conditions.
Proposal. The proposal is written up by Modafferi Construction, including an estimate on design, engineering, and blueprint charges.
Conceptual design. On your acceptance of the proposal, pictures are taken, detailed discussions are held, and Modafferi Construction develops the conceptual design.
Working drawings When the concept is completed, Modafferi Construction reviews it with you for your input and approval. We refine the design and develop working drawings.
Engineering. When you approve the drawings, the plans go to structural and soils engineers, a required part of the building process.
Bid. Following completion of engineering, a bid is created based on quotes from subcontractors (such as excavators, stone masons, plumbers, etc.), and from materials suppliers (such as lumber yards). The bid is created to give you an idea of the cost involved and to establish a budget.
Project schedule, specifications, contract. On approval of budgetary considerations, Modafferi Construction will draft a project schedule, project specifications, and a construction contract. The schedule we provide you with lets you know what you can expect us to accomplish, and when we plan to do it, so you can plan accordingly.
Throughout the process, Modafferi Construction will work with you to help you realize your dreams.
If you already have engineered drawings:
